Ice fishing
Ice fishing is extremely popular in Finland and especially at springtime there are many ice fishing competitions with great prizes like cars.
When the sunshine caresses the frozen lake, it's just wonderful to relax there by ice fishing.
At ice fishing safaris we get close to a lake by car and the rest of the journey over land we'll do on snowshoes. Snowshoes also make it easy to walk on snow covered lake ice where we do the ice fishing.
Around Levi there are several alternative lakes we can choose as the target for our ice fishing trip. At some lakes it's possible to catch salmon or rainbow trout. Some other lakes give perch, pike and roach. The former can result in a bigger catch and the latter may give more catches.
